Important Update for Devotees: Bhimashankar Temple to Remain Closed for 3 Months from January 1, 2026

BHIMASHANKAR JYOTIRLING

Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the most revered shrines in Maharashtra, will remain closed for darshan for three months starting January 1, 2026. The decision has been taken due to major renovation and development work planned inside the main temple premises.

According to temple authorities, heavy machinery will be used during the renovation, making it unsafe for devotees to enter the sanctum during this period. The closure is being implemented strictly in the interest of devotee safety and long-term preservation of the temple.

Devotees planning a visit in the New Year are advised to schedule their darshan before December 31, 2025, or plan their pilgrimage after the renovation work is completed.

Temple management has requested devotees’ cooperation during this period to ensure smooth and timely completion of the development work.
